When the Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ was rolled out in 1999, it looked similar to its predecessor, the Grand Cherokee ZJ. In fact, it was almost all new. It was also a very adept off-highway machine. Hidden beneath its sexy exterior and luxurious interior was a pair of good ‘ol solid axles and a simple, flexy coil-spring suspension.
